Re-Runs from the past

I don't have much going on today with the exception of "the dreaded housework".  I am running some of my old photographs and each and everyone of them has a little story behind them.  I hope you enjoy them.

This is Glenn.  He was my son.  He was born on March 6th 1987.  He had a really hard time coming into this world and he believed to make each day like his last.  He lived his life like that.  He shirked responsibilities and loved to have a good time and be with his friends.  He had friends from all walks of life and celebrated every difference in each of them.  All of his friends have told me he made a huge impact on their lives and they will always love him and celebrate his life.  He was only 25 years old when he died.  I am glad he celebrated each and every day now.  RIP son 3-6-1987 to 12-6-2012.

This is my mother Ruth Forbes holding my grandson Alex when he was 2 months old.  He is three years old now.   She is 86 years old and is battling a medical condition.  She was always the "one" in control.  She controlled everything around her and now...well she just doesn't care to remember or she has lost her drive.  Right around the time this photo was taken was when her condition started to deteriorate.  Taken at the Randleman walking trail in Randleman, NC.

I took this photographed at the farmers market in Asheboro, NC.  My daughter and I were riding around looking for interesting items to photograph and we both thought the flowers there were beautiful.  My daughter has three sons and often does not get time to do things for herself.  Her children are 5,3 and 1 year old.  They are pretty much a handful too.  I joke with her and tell her that they never had a chance with our gene pool lol.  I joked with her once and told her that her kids were not really bad, they were just spirited.  They are actually good kids and are the light of my life.

Spirited...very spirited, I don't know where they get that from ha ha ha.

This is a little train depot at a local fairgrounds.  Dannielle and I explored this  on one of our "expeditions".  We like to get into the car and just drive.  You can always find little things along the path to no-where.  Interesting yet beautiful things surround us and all we really have to do is train ourselves to look.

Old wheels hanging on a barn.  I think these are old tractor wheels, before rubberized tires.

A windmill of sorts.  I am not sure if this was the old way of generating a little electricity or what.  I thought it was interesting and a beautiful piece of machinery.

Well, I guess it's time to sign off for the day.  I have lots to do but not much will to do it today.  I won't get it done if I stay here and that is for sure....peace and have a great day.
